Evening routine
A cup of tea and a little less screen time in the evening. Choose tea for your taste and follow its packet instructions, with elderberry added according to its label if you like.
Steps
Choose a tea
Choose a packaged herbal tea you know and tolerate, such as chamomile, fennel or lemon balm. Use the amount and water volume on its packet. Different teas may need different infusion times.
Brew a fresh cup
Pour freshly boiling water over the tea. Infuse for at least five minutes, following any longer time on the packet. Remove the strainer or bag, then let the cup cool to a comfortable drinking temperature.
Elderberry is optional
If you would like to add elderberry, wait until the cup is comfortably warm. Follow your bottle label for the amount and use a clean spoon. Close the bottle and store it as directed.
Find a place for your pause
Put your cup on a stable surface. Set your phone out of reach and keep enough light to move around or read comfortably. Drink at your own pace. There is no particular sleep outcome to achieve.
This tea break is intended for adults. Follow the packet cautions. Do not use tea containing an ingredient you are allergic to. Ask a pharmacist about the specific product for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medical conditions or questions about medicines. Making a weaker cup does not establish suitability. Avoid chamomile with a known chamomile or daisy-family allergy. Also follow the cautions on any elderberry product you add.
