Golden milk for chilly evenings
Turmeric, fresh ginger, black pepper, oat milk. The Indian preparation that has found a steady place in our autumn evening rotation.
Ingredients
- 500 mloat milk (or any milk you prefer)
- 1 tspground turmeric (Curcuma longa), or 2 cm grated fresh root
- 2 cmfresh ginger (Zingiber officinale), grated
- 1 generouspinch black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tspolive oil or a small piece of unsalted butter
- 1 tsphoney or maple syrup, to taste
- Note: do not give honey to children under 12 months.
Method

1. Combine all ingredients except the honey in a small pot.

2. Warm gently over a low flame for about eight minutes, whisking. Do not let it boil.

3. Strain into two cups, sweeten to taste, and drink while it is still hot.
