Morning tea with elderflower
Elderflower tea in the morning, with a little lemon if you like. Allow about twenty minutes for brewing, cooling and a moment by the window.
Steps
Set out elderflower tea and a cup
Choose packaged elderflower tea sold as a food. Set out a heatproof cup. Use the quantity of flowers and water volume stated on the packet for one serving.
Pour over boiling water
Bring fresh water to a rolling boil and pour it over the tea. Leave it to infuse for at least five minutes, following any longer time on the packet. Keep the hot cup on a stable surface.
Lemon and a moment by the window
Remove the strainer or tea bag. Let the tea cool to a comfortable drinking temperature. Add a little lemon juice if you like. Take a quiet moment by the window before moving on with your morning.
This pause is intended for adults and uses elderflowers, not raw elderberries. Follow the tea packet cautions. Ask a pharmacist about the product for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have questions about medicines. Making a weaker cup does not establish that it is suitable for children.
