Afternoon tea with peppermint
Peppermint tea and a small afternoon snack. Allow about twenty minutes to prepare the tea, let it cool and take your break.
Steps
Set out your cup and snack
Choose peppermint tea sold as a food. Set out a heatproof cup, a strainer or tea bag and a small snack. Use the quantity and water volume stated on the packet for one serving.
Pour over boiling water
Bring fresh water to a rolling boil and pour it over the tea. Leave it to infuse for at least five minutes, following any longer time on the packet. Keep the hot cup on a stable surface.
Take your break
Remove the strainer or tea bag and let the tea cool to a comfortable drinking temperature. Sit down with your snack. Keep the next ten minutes for your break, with your phone put away.
This break is intended for adults. Use peppermint tea, not peppermint essential oil. Choose another drink if peppermint disagrees with you. Follow the packet cautions. Ask a pharmacist about the specific product for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have questions about medicines.
